Hello Everyone! My name is Camilo. I am originally from Bogota, Colombia, a walker’s paradise. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English. I think that the best way to get to know a city is when you are willing to get lost in it on your own two feet, learning its energy and taking in its culture. They say you can’t walk in LA, but I have been exploring this city by foot since I moved here 20 years ago, discovering its secrets and learning to appreciate all it has to offer. For the past 10 years I have made Los Feliz my home. It’s a great neighborhood, filled with unique shops and cafés, hidden gems, and interesting tree lined side streets. The hills are great for a work out, and Griffith Park is filled with beautiful trails and the Observatory. I’d love to walk it with you! I’m a composer, Multi-instrumentalist and music producer by trade, and also give music instruction. I am a collector of all kinds of music in any format and I enjoy reading and watching movies. When I’m not working on my stuff, I like to travel, and have had the pleasure of walking the streets of New York, San Francisco, and Mexico City, each unique and wonderful but still reminding me of the culture of my hometown. I’m a good listener and I like making people laugh. I am happy to keep the conversation light, explore deeper topics if you’re interested, or just share a moment of quiet in this busy city while we explore what the neighborhood has to offer. It’s so easy to feel isolated in this city- but we do much better when we take the time to connect with others!
Community is the heart of society and with a healthy heart we can walk anywhere.
